Qatar to Host MEED's Projects 2011 Tuesday

Doha (QNA) - Qatar will host tomorrow MEED's Qatar Projects 2011 conference which will focus on the sectors, trends and projects that will drive Qatar's economy over the coming decade in various sectors.
More than 450 international and regional experts, stakeholders and decision-makers will attend the conference to discuss important issues, including the economic and financial outlook, energy markets' plans, energy and water infrastructure, Qatar National Vision 2030, transport and social development plans, health care, sports, real estate, urban planning and industrial investment opportunities.
A number of decision makers of Qatar's energy will also attend the conference during which they will discuss the infrastructure plans that will be done in Qatar after the success of Qatar's bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022 for the first time in the Middle East.
Under the title "An in-depth look at the current economic developments and financial landscape in Qatar", the opening panel session of the conference will address the issues of financial and banking services, according to MEED.
According to the same source, the conference, which will provide detailed information about the opportunities emerging in all areas of the Qatari economy, will host prominent speakers from Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, Qatar Central Bank, Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Aluminum, International Bank of Qatar (IBQ) and Citibank.
Some officials in MEED expected that a group of prominent figures from various sectors in Qatar will participate in the conference
The Qatari Diar is diamond sponsor and IBQ is platinum sponsor for the conference. Qatar Petroleum is the Strategic Partner of this year's conference.
MEED estimates that the benefits to be provided by the wide range of construction projects planned in Qatar will not be limited to GCC-based construction companies, emphasizing that the State of Qatar has adequate time and money to ensure that the 2022 World Cup will be an impressive event.
