QTA Organizes the 2nd Annual Doha Food Festival

Doha, February 09 (QNA) - The best chefs in the country will gather later this month for the second annual of Doha Food Festival 2011.
Organized by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) under the title of "Taste & Fun", it will be held behind the Doha Exhibition Center February 23 to 26, 2011.
Chefs will showcase their "signature" dishes for the public at the festival in family- friendly atmosphere at the event.
All of Qatar s top hotels as well as high end restaurants will participate in the festival, including the 5 stars hotels restaurants, where the best chefs will offer Arabic, Asian, Mexican, European and even "fine dining" gourmet treats, which will be sold to visitors for QR5, QR10 and QR15 per platter.
Qatar Tourism Authority will going to award the best restaurant in the last two days of the festival, as the families can enjoy the festival atmosphere with a DJ every afternoon jazz band and other performers.
"The Food Festival is fast becoming a landmark community event in Doha, Where families can experience such gourmet food for a reasonable price in a family-friendly atmosphere," Qatar Tourism Authority Chairman Ahmed Al Nuaimi said.
As Al-Nuaimi said: "It is important for the QTA to bring these events to the wider community. Not only will visitors enjoy great food and fun entertainment, they will have the opportunity to taste dishes from other cultures and seek to promote awareness of other cultures."
Al Nuaimi said the event could not be organized without the support of the hospitality industry in Qatar: "Their extremely positive response in 2011 supported organizing such festival which we can ingest the wider community and showcase what Qatar has to offer."
Al-Nuaimi concluded: "I urge people to come along, try something new, eat well and enjoy themselves."
