TEAM AIRASIA TO MAKE DEBUT IN GP2 ASIA SERIES

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10 (Bernama) -- Team AirAsia will make its racing debut in
the GP2 Asia series with drivers Luiz Razia of Brazil and Davide Valsecchi of
Italy at the wheels of their third generation GP2 machines.

Team AirAsia in a statement Thursday said the team would compete in all
three rounds of the season namely Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and the Formula One Bahrain
Grand Prix support race in March.

The team's principal Riad Asmat said he was impressed with the dedication
and passion of everyone in the team and hoped the team's hard work and energy
would be rewarded this weekend and also throughout the season.

Meanwhile, team manager Phill Spencer said the team had been practicing pit
stops and race starts, which both play a critical role in maximising track
performance.

The GP2 Asia Series 2011 will start on Feb 12 at the Yas Marina Circuit, Abu
Dhabi.
