QEWC's 2010 Net Profit Up 23%

Doha, February 15 (QNA) - Qatar Electricity & Water Company (QEWC) financial report for year ended December 31, 2010 reveals a net profit of QR 1,163 million, a growth of 23% compared to QR 945 million for the previous year, the utilities provider said in a media statement.
QEWC's Earnings Per Share (EPS) amounted to QR 11.63 in 2010 compared to QR 9.45 in 2009.
The year 2010 marked an increase of 29% in sales QR 3,430 Million in 2010 as against QR 2,651 Million in 2009 and an increase of 38% in Gross Profit QR 1,539 Million in 2010 as against QR 1,115 Million in 2009, the company said.
