TRANSPORTATION VIA OIL AND GAS PIPELINES ON RISE
Baku, 16 AUGUST,(AzerTAj) According to the State Statistics Committee, oil-trunk pipelines carried 28.7 million tons of oil for the past seven months of 2008, up by 25.2 percent on the same period last year.
Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export pipeline hauled one third of this volume. Last year,oil transportation from Baku made up 21.8 mln tons.
Gas-main pipelines transported 6.2 million tons of gas, up by 63.3% on the same period last year. Gas transportation via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum accounted by 29% ofoverall amount of gas transported.
