HE Minister of State for Interior Affairs Meets UNODC's Executive Director
Doha, February 16 (QNA) -HE Minister Of State For Interior Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani met here on Wednesday with Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Yury Fedotov who is now visiting Qatar.
Talks during the meeting dealt with scopes of joint cooperation in areas of joint interest and means of enhancing them .
Earlier Tuesday Yury Fedotov opened a sub-regional office for the Gulf states in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The Office, which was set up in partnership with the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Interior, will strengthen the intra-regional response to the threats of drugs, crime and terrorism, Fedotov said in a press release following the office launching ceremony yesterday.
