PM NAJIB DENIES CABINET RESHUFFLE IN NEAR FUTURE

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 17 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Najib Razak refuted speculations by political observers that there would be a cabinet reshuffle in the near future as reported in the Twitter and blogs Wednesday.

He said a cabinet reshuffle could be carried out at any time or not at all.

"Who is creating the rumour? The cabinet reshuffle can be made at any time or not at all," he told reporters after launching the programme on strengthening and acculturating the Senate, Malaysian Parliament at the Banquet Hall, Parliament, here Thursday.

He said this when commenting on the widespread speculation that there would be a cabinet reshuffle which had caused a media frenzy to confirm the rumour.

On Wednesday, a news portal had stated that two deputy ministers would be promoted as full ministers while a political party leader would be appointed as a minister.
