Qatar Labour Ministry Simplifies Recruitment Process

Doha, February 19 (QNA) - Private institutions and firms can now apply online to recruit expatriate works without referring to the Ministry of Labour.
Based on a new service launched the Recruitment Department of the Ministry of Labour will allow representatives of private firms to submit recruitment applications via e-mail to save time, Qatari English language daily "The Peninsula" reported Saturday.
"The new service was introduced among several private companies as a trial and it the system will go fully online three weeks after the trial period," said Nasser Mahanna Al Mannai, Manager of the Recruitment Department of the Minister of Labour.
Applicants should prepare, certify, and scan the required documents online and submit them to the relevant e-mail. Submitted documents will be reviewed by the Recruitment Department to ensure that they conform to the applicant's online database, Al Mannai said.
The Ministry of Labour recently activated an SMS service for seven new online services to facilitate online approval of recruitments.
The Recruitment Department will process the submitted application the same day or within 48 hours. Inaccurate data or errors in the recruitment applications submitted online will be immediately detected by the Inspection and Recruitment Department.
