Doha (QNA) - Qatar Exchange closed Monday's trading marginally down 75.76 points or 0.88% to 8,488.08 points compared to 8,563.84 on Sunday.
The volume of shares traded fell to 6,879,512 from 11,080,383 on Sunday, and the value of shares down to QR296,423,737.48 from QR430,870,186.33 Sunday. Total numbe of transcations were 4,997.
Today 11 companies noted gains while 24 went down. Among the top losers were National Leasing whose share dropped by 3.68% to QR37.90,Gulf International fell 3.17% to QR27.50, Barwa down 2.17% to QR33.85 and Qatar National Bank lost 2.06% to QR128.40.
Qatar banking and financial sector lost 68.30 points while the insurance sector lost 49.82 points. The Qatar industrial sector dropped 622.35 points and the services sector fell 52.76 points.
