HE Dr. Al-Sada Meets Energy Ministers in Riyadh s Energy Forum


Riyadh, February 22 (QNA) The Extraordinary International Energy Forum (IEF) Ministerial Meeting kicked off in Riyadh on Tuesday under the patronage of the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and hosted by Saudi Ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources.
Qatar's Minister of Energy & Industry, HE Dr. Mohamed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, is leading his country's delegation to the Extraordinary IEF Ministerial Meeting.
The meeting, which aims to sign the forum s charter, marks the 20th Anniversary of the producer-consumer dialogue, with participation from 90 countries, major oil producers such as OPEC countries, and ministers of major IEF members, in addition to ministers of other major countries such as China, India and Brazil.
HE Dr. Al-Sada held meetings on the sidelines of the event with several energy and industry ministers participating in the Forum. H.E. met this morning Shri Jaipal Sudini Reddy, the Indian Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas. A
At noon HE Al- Sada met US Deputy Secretary of Energy Daniel Poneman, and later met Japan s State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Yutaka Banno.
In the afternoon HE Dr. Al-Sada met the Greek Vice-Minister for Environment, Energy & Climate Change, Ioannis Manlatis, and Britain s Green Energy Minister Charles Hendry.
Later in the evening HE Dr. Al-Sada met the French Minister of Industry and Energy and Digital Economy, Eric Besson.
Talks during these meetings addressed bilateral relations between Qatar and these countries, and the means to enhance cooperation with them, mainly in the energy and industry fields.
HE Dr. Al-Sada also met the European Commission s Deputy Director General for Energy and Industry, Fabrizo Barbaso and discussed enhancing relations between Qatar and the European commissioner.
These meetings were attended by members of Qatar delegation to the Forum.
