QCCI , Moroccan Ministerial Delegation Hold Talks
Doha, February 23 (QNA) - A meeting opened here on Wednesday between Businessmen from Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry(QCCI) and a visiting Moroccan ministerial delegation to discuss effective means to enhance and bolster economic relations between the two countries.
The meeting was attended on part of the QCCI by its board chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Bin Mohamed Al Thani while it was attended on the other side by Minister Of Foreign Trade Abdulatif Ma'azouz ,Minister Of Tourism And Traditional Industry Al Sayyed Zanaki , Minister Of Energy , Minerals , Water And Environment Mrs. Amina Bin Khaddraa and in the presence of Moroccan ambassador to Qatar HE Abdulazeem Altaber .
For his part, HE sheikh khalifa underlined his country's due keenness to enhance economic relations with all world countries stressing the QCCI's desire to revitalizing the qatar-moroccan businessmen council .
The QCCI , he said , is planning to organise a visit by a qatari businessmen delegation to morocco to get acquainted with the investment atmosphere there, adding that the QCCI is seeking to achieve trade cooperation and integration between the two countries at all levels.
Meanwhile the Moroccan foreign trade minister underlined the strength of the trade relartions between the two countries and expressed desire to enhance these relations in future for the benefit of the two countries .
Morocco , he said is seeking to make of qatar a gateway for marketing its products including IT technologies, cars , foodstuffs and modern industries in the region.
For her part, Moroccan minister of energy , minerals , water and environment Mrs. Amina Bin Khaddraa underlined the importance of creating partnership between the businessmen of the two sides in all fields of cooperation including infrastructure , fishing, energy , solar energy , liquefied gas and phosphate .
She noted that her country possesses about 75 per cent of the phosphate reserve in the world and reviewed aspects of cooperation between QAFCO and moroccan companies to enhance joint cooperation in these areas.
Mrs. Amina Bin Khaddraa voiced hope to have constructive partnerships with Qatar in gas, amonia and phosphate to help open new markets in Asia, Europe and the USA.
The Moroccan delegation is accompanying Moroccan Prime Minister Abbas Alfasi who arrived here earlier Tuesday evening on a four-day official visit to Qatar.
