FM TO VISIT TURKMENISTAN
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 (Bernama) -- Foreign Minister Anifah Aman is scheduled to make an official visit to Turkmenistan from Feb 24 to 27, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement Thursday.
It said the visit reflected Kuala Lumpur's continued initiative to step up bilateral relations.
Anifah is scheduled to call on Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly
Berdimuhammedov and engage in talks with his counterpart Rashid O. Meredov.
He is also scheduled to visit a Petronas oil supply base in Turmenbasy.
Anifah would be accompanied on the visit to Turkmenistan by his wife, Rubiah Abdul Samad and senior officials from the ministry as well as Petronas, Malaysia's national oil company.
This is Anifah's second visit to Turkmenistan. His first was in July 2010.
