Culture Minister Inaugurates Doha Food Festival
Doha, February 24 (QNA) - HE Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari inaugurated this evening the Second Doha Food Festival, organized by the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) .
HE the Minister toured the various sections including hotels and restaurants pavilions participating in the festival where he was briefed about their products.
In press statements, HE the Minister Dr. Al Kuwari said that the Festival is a social, economic and cultural event , where food is considered as some kind of global culture.
HE the Minister praised General Authority for Tourism efforts in organizing such event, and stressed that Doha will see the continuation of this kind of festivals that reflect openness to all cultures.
The four-day event is being held behind the Doha Exhibition Centre.
Chefs are showcasing their signature dishes for the public at the festival in a family- friendly atmosphere.
