SUBSTANTIAL INVESTMENT IN AEROSPACE INDUSTRY TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 (Bernama) -- Malaysia has secured significant
investment in the aerospace industry which is due to be announced soon,
Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Senior Director, Non-ResourcedBased Industries, Azman Mahmud said.
He, however, declined to disclose any details.
Azman was speaking at a press conference to announce the Aerospace Meetings Kuala Lumpur in May, to be hosted by BCI Aerospace in partnership with the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MiGHT) and MIDA.
Last year, the industry saw RM937 million (US$302.25 million) in new
investments, 97 per cent of which came from domestic companies.
