3rd QTF Open Tournament Kicks off on Monday

Doha February 27 (QNA) - Fresh from organizing a highly successful Qatar Ladies Open, that saw Russian star Vera Zvonareva defeating world no.1 Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark in the final to clinch the title, the Qatar Tennis Federation is gearing up for the 3rd QTF Open Tournament, which will kick off on Monday February 28th at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
More than 200 players from all over Qatar will be battling over 15 days for 16 titles. The age categories in the tournament includes Men (Singles Doubles), Women (Singles Doubles), Mixed Doubles, Veterans Singles (Over 45 years old), Boys singles (U10-U12-U14-U18), Boys Doubles (U12-U14) and Girls singles ((U10-U12-U14-U18).
"The tournament is very important to the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF), the large number of players taking part in the tournament proves that tennis is getting more and more popular every year, especially with the success of the global tournaments hosted by QTF" said QTF President, Mr. Nasser bin Ghanem Al Khelaifi.
