Qatar To Host Inter-School Quiz Contest
Doha, February 28 (QNA) - Qatar will host the second edition of an inter-school quiz contest here, organisers announced here Monday.
The contest, organised by UAE-based Vision Tomorrow in partnership with Vodafone Qatar, will challenge students to answer questions on diverse topics, officials told a media conference today.
Named Vodafone Brain Hunt - Season 2, the QR 100,00 total prize money contest is open to all high schools in Qatar. Each school can nominate their best teams from Grade Nine onwards.
Quiz Master Kannu Baker told Qatar New Agency (QNA), "Brain Hunt is a journey which explores new horizons of knowledge which is the foundation of progress. With Qatar aiming to develop a knowledge-based economy, such competitions will add to the student community's empowerment."
Head of Consumer Marketing Vodafone Qatar Cindy Moussa said, "The second edition of Brain Hunt will certainly inspire, motivate and nurture young in Qatar."
The top six final teams will compete in the final scheduled in the third week of April after a short listing teams following elimination rounds, organisers said.
