MISC RE-LAUNCHES PHILIPPINES FEEDER SERVICE

KUALA LUMPUR, March 1 (Bernama)-- The world's largest owner-operator of liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers, MISC Bhd, recently relaunched its Philippines Feeder Service (PFS).
The service caters to the reefer export needs of customers from Davao in the Philippines.
Two 1100 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU)vessels are
being deployed in the service.
Apart from calling at Davao, the service now also includes Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam in its routing, MISC said in a statement here, Tuesday.
The new PFS provides the fastest transit for reefers via Davao – Singapore –Ho Chi Minh and connects to other MISC trunk services via Singapore.
Earlier in January 2011, MISC also launched its Gulf Feeder Service (GFS), linking Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates(UAE) to Shuwaik (Kuwait), Dammam (Saudi Arabia) and Bahrain.
The GFS also links up with MISC’s long haul services in Jebel Ali.
MISC also took delivery of 2000 new forty-foot containers (FEUs). These new reefer containers incorporate the latest design technology.
With these enhanced services, MISC will be able to support the growing business needs of its customers.
