ONE OF THREE M'SIANS "MISSING" IN LIBYA TRACED TO DUBAI

PUTRAJAYA, March 1 (Bernama) -- One of three Malaysians in strife-torn Libya who reportedly could not be contacted has been traced to Dubai, Foreign Minister Anifah Aman said Tuesday.
However, there was no word yet on the two other citizens whose identities had yet to be established, he said.
"We do not know whether they are still there (in Libya) or have returned or are with the staff of Malaysia Ranhill Berhad (who had been brought back to Malaysia)," he told reporters after attending an appreciation luncheon for the ministry's staff who were involved in the "Ops Piramid" operation to evacuate thousands of Malaysian nationals and students from Egypt during a recent uprising which led to the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak.
It had been reported that the families of these nationals were unable to contact them over the past several days.
Anifah said that 95 Malaysians, among them two students and six embassy officials, returned to Kuala Lumpur Monday.
He also said that 18 more Malaysians, five of them students, were expected to fly into KL International Airport at 6.50am Wednesday.
Anifah said Malaysia Ranhill Berhad had confirmed that all its Malaysian staff and those from other countries such as Indonesia, Thailand and Bangladesh had been evacuated from Libya.
"Our checks show that all those who registered with us have been airlifted out. However, individuals or families who may have next-of-kin or friends in Tripoli can contact us so that we can locate them and bring them out," he said.
