FIRM STANCE IS AGUS CONDRO'S PRINCIPLE IN LIFE

Batang, Aug 20 (ANTARA) - Agus Condro Prayitno, a former member of the House's Commission I, is seen as a figure with a strong stance in life, as he will never bog down to whatever threats he is facing.

"Whatever difficulties he is facing, he will never break the law. But he will remain with his commitment," said Eli Martha, Agus Condro's wife, in Batan on Wednesday.

In addition, Eli said, while accompanying him in the political world, Agus Condro was a type of in-field persons, so that his knowledge was only defined in a theory.

"I am really proud of him. Agus Condro is a teacher, so I often asked him about many things including his braveness to uncover Rp500 million bribe," she said.

Eli Martha further said he had known a Rp500 million bribe from Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia Miranda Goeltom long before the case surfaced.

"We ever discussed this case together two years ago. But, after knowing the truth of the case I then supported him," she said.

According to her, at present her family has not received any threat. If there is, it will never dampen his intention to divert the case which has befallen him and his friends in the legislative assembly.

"Until now there is no such threat and in fact what we received is just great support from friends in other parties to unravel the case," she said.

Firm stance and responsibility toward the truth was not realized when Agus was still in the House but in the family he was a figure who was loyal and steadfast to his commitment, so that his family will live in peace.

"The principle of our family is not to allow to receive any money in meeting our needs," she said.
