QFC Regulatory Authority Celebrates Successful Qatari Graduate
Doha, March 02 (QNA) - The QFC Regulatory Authority held a ceremony to honour Noora Al Buzwair, a graduate of the Qatar University College of Law, who completed the one year Graduate Fellowship Programme ("GFP") in the Policy and Enforcement Departments.
The GFP is a one-year fellowship programme offered to exceptional Qatari nationals.
The purpose of the programme is to provide young Qatari men and women the opportunity of working within a world-class financial services regulatory environment and build their skills as financial services professionals. At the end of the program, successful participants are offered a challenging and rewarding career with the Regulatory Authority. Sixteen graduates have participated in the "GFP" programme since its launch in 2006, with 5 due to graduate in August this year.
Ms. Al Buzwair's mentor, Mrs. Prue Morris, Director, Policy Department, said: "I am delighted to celebrate Noora's achievement after such a successful year. It has been a pleasure to watch her develop her enforcement and policy skills and I look forward to working with her as a valued member of our Policy team." Noora Al Buzwair said: "Working at the Regulatory Authority has been a great professional experience for me and I look forward to continuing my career in the Regulatory Authority."
The QFC Regulatory Authority supports the Human Development Pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which promotes the professional development of Qatari nationals and contributes to develop their talents.
The QFC Regulatory Authority will present its Graduate Fellowship Programme and recruit Qatari national candidates for the "GFP" and other roles during the Qatar Career Fair, from the 10th to the 14th of April at the Doha Exhibition Centre.
