OZ Minerals confirms Sepon LXML production to meet full year forecasts The OZ Minerals reported its Lao operations', OZ LXML Sepon, production is on track to meet annual forecast targets, according to the company'squarterly report ending on 30 June 2008.

Copper production of 13,240 tonnes was achieved for the June quarter which was lower than the previous quarter due to rainfall constraining access to mining activities, as well as a major planned shutdown in April and a fireaccident in the electro-winning tankhouse of the plant in May.

Similarly, the gold production output for the second quarter was lower at 19,096 oz due to minor flooding of some mining areas. Additional mining equipment and the opening of a new open pit, Houai Yeng, in the third quarter will result in an improvement in mining operations. Production forecast for the year is 85,000 oz - 95,000 oz. Year to date production on 30th June was 30,372 tonnes of copper, 20,440 oz of gold and 34,281 oz ofsilver.
