Qatar Celebrates Education Excellence Day

Doha, March 05 (QNA) -The Supreme Education Council announced that HH the Heir Apparent and Chairman of the Supreme Education Council Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al- Thani will patronize on Monday the Council's Education Excellence Day, due to be held at Sheraton Doha Hotel.
During the celebrations distinguished categories, including high school and university graduates, Ph.D. holders, distinguished teaches (both males and females), distinctive schools and distinguished research by secondary school students, will be honoured and awarded platinum and gold medals in addition to financial awards allocated for the purpose
The celebration will be attended by dignitaries, education leaders, parents, school principals, teachers, students and representatives of local media
The celebration will contribute to the promotion of innovation, establishing the culture of excellence in the Qatari society and deepening its concepts through the adoption of international standards of excellence, the implementation of quality programmes and the integration of individual efforts and institutional capacities to improve the output of the educational process in the State of Qatar.
It also will also make an assessment of academically distinguished people of Qatar, honor them and encourage all individuals and educational institutions to develop their performance and strengthen the positive trends towards knowledge and outstanding scientific research, in addition to deepen the spirit of innovation among students and researchers, educational institutions, raise the spirit of competition among them in the field of scientific excellence and energies of individual and institutional towards scientific excellence in areas that serve the achievement of government policies development.
