HH the Emir Chairs Economic Affairs Committee Meeting

Doha, March 06 (QNA) - HH the Emir and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani presided over the Council's 2011 first meeting held today at the Emir Diwan.
The meeting was attended by HH the Heir Apparent and Deputy Chairman of the Council Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The meeting was also attended by HE the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Executive Member of the Council Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani
HE the Minister of Economy and Finance and Secretary-General of the Council Youssuf Hussain Kamal told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the Council discussed topics tabled on the agenda of the meeting and took the appropriate decisions.
HE Minister of Economy and Finance said the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment Board endorsed the Council's budget of fiscal year 2011/2012 and Qatar Investment Authority 2011 budget.
He pointed out that the Council listened to a presentation on the report of the committee on the development of financial markets, referring to directives of HH the Emir on taking the necessary measures for the implementations of the contents of the report according to the time schedule proposed by the Committee
