Doha, March 09 (QNA) -The Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Wednesday adding 159.82 points or 1.99% to 8,171.59 points from 8,011.77 Tuesday.
The volume of shares traded fell to 15,733,077 from 18,793,756 on Tuesday and the value of shares down to QR595,976,303.97 from QR 716,488,817.78 Tuesday.
Top gainers were Industries Qatar which was up 3.14% to QR131.20, Comm. Bank of Qatar by 3.64% to QR74.10, Qatar Islamic Bank up by 3.33% to QR83.70 and Barwa by 4.83% to QR31.45.
Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector added 222.44 and the Insurance sector rose 208.21 points. The Qatar industrial sector gained 8.64 points and the Services sector was up 111.00 points.
