Pan Arab Games Signs Qtel As Diamond Sponsor

Doha, March 09 (QNA) - The Pan Arab Games Organising Committee Wednesday signed a Diamond sponsorship with telecom operator Qtel.
Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Secretary General and Chairman of the Pan Arab Games Organising Committee Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Qtel Chairman Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani signed the contract, the QOC said today.
Sheikh Saoud said, "The QOC and Qtel have a prestigious and long-standing relationship fostered over several international events. It is a privilege to collaborate again together on the Pan Arab Games 2011, a unifying institution through excellence in sports for the Arabic-speaking world.
"Our aim is to raise the bar high and bring the whole region under the spotlight to the sports world and beyond. We are proud to be paired again with Qtel, a Qatari brand that is synonymous with the high levels of service and excellence we will achieve by hosting this event."
Sheikh Abdullah said, "Qatar continues to make a name for itself as an international hub for sport which is a source of pride for the whole country. At Qtel, we have a history of supporting key events that speak to the people of Qatar and beyond about the health and community benefits of sport. The Pan Arab Games promise to fuel a sense of engagement for everyone in Qatar and we are extremely pleased to be playing a lead role in bringing this about."
Pan Arab Games Executive Director Khaled Hamad Al Mohannadi, Pan-Arab Games Marketing Director, Abdulrahman Mosallam Al Dosari and Media and Broadcasting Director and Spokesman Pan-Arab Games 2011. Abdulla Al Mulla attended the sponsorship signing ceremony.
Union of Arab National Olympic Committees is organising the 12th edition of the Pan Arab Games. Alexandria hosted the first Games in 1953.
