GCC Chief Praises HH the Emir's Humanitarian Initiatives

Riyadh, March 12 (QNA) - HE GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Attiyah has praised the initiative of HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, to provide humanitarian and medical aid to the brotherly Libyan people as well as the initiative of transporting more than 2500 Egyptians stranded in the Libyan city of Misurata.
HE Al Attiyah stressed that this noble attitude reflects HH the Emir keenness on the values ??of solidarity and fraternity towards the Arab and Muslim peoples .. commending the call by HH the Emir to prevent further bloodshed in Libya.
In a statement today, HE al Attiyah added that the State of Qatar is among the leading countries that taking initiatives to help the brotherly Libyan people in their ordeal through sending relief airlift loaded with tons of food and medical supplies intended to help alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Libyan people.(QNA(
