Qatar, the State of Samoa Establish Diplomatic Relations

New York, March 12 (QNA) - The State of Qatar and the Independent State of Samoa have signed a joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic and relations.
The communique was signed at the seat of the permanent delegation to the United Nations in New York, by HE Ambassador Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations and the Government of Samoa's Permanent Delegate to the United Nations Ambassador Aliwiyoaega Vittori Elizaia.
An official source at the Foreign Ministry told Qatar News Agency (QNA) today that the signing of this communique, a copy of which was lodged with UN Secretary-General, comes as a desire to strengthen relations of friendship and the developing bilateral cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Independent State of Samoa in the political, economic, social, humanitarian, cultural and scientific domains.
The official added that the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries comes as part of rapprochement and cooperation between the State of Qatar and a group of small island States in the Pacific .. As an indication of Qatar's active diplomacy on the international level, aimed at strengthening t close bilateral relations with various countries of the world, according to the wise policy of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
