GCC Chief hails Qatari Emir's visit to Tehran
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Attiyah said the visit of the Emir reflected the keenness of the GCC states on establishing constructive dialogue in order to strengthen ties with all countries in various fields as well as reinforcing peace, security andstability in the region.
In this respect, Al Attiyah also hailed the role of Qatar and its wise and positive vision under the leadership of the Emir towards dealing with the current challenges that are facing the region at the Gulf, Arab and Islamic levels with a view to achieve the interest ofregion’s countries and their stability.
The Emir was accompanied by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani and a high-level officialdelegation for a short visit to Tehran during the weekend.
