Alawi: no Iraqi can support Talabani’s statement

Baghdad (NINA) – Head of the White Iraqiya Slate, Hasan Al Alawi, said “no Iraqi can support president Jalal Talabani’s statement that Kirkuk is the “Quds of Kurdistan”.

“If we examine the current political system; we will notice that it based on a constitution that was written in a hurry, the three presidencies were divided on the three components,” Alawi stated to NINA.

He went on to say that “president Talabani represents the presidency, but, at the same time he represents the Kurds element in that post, which is their share, therefore, he cannot be anything more than what the Kurds want him to be, otherwise, they will elect someone else for the post.“
