RAF to Set Up Charity Fund Named After Al Jazeera Cameraman Al Jaber
Doha, March 16 (QNA) - Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) is planning to set up a charitable fund to be named after the martyr Ali Hassan Al Jaber, who martyred while covering the events of the current Libyan uprising for Al Jazeera Satellite Channel.
RAF Director General Ayed bin Dbassan Al-Qahtani told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that Fund will be open to all be it individuals, institutions or companies, noting that RAF will allocate QR 500,000 as an initial amount for this fund.
He said the foundation is now working to meet all the legal procedures needed to formally launch the Fund, adding that the RAF will announce during the next two days the technical and administrative details of the Fund.
Al-Qahtani said that the proceeds of the Fund will be allocated for humanitarian cases such in Libya and North Africa and may include in the future urgent and critical cases in the world. (QNA)
