Education Institute Organizes Workshop on Excellence in Management of Scholarship Programmes
Doha, March 16 (QNA) - Scholarships office at the Supreme Education Council's Education Institute organized a workshop on excellence in management of scholarship programmes.
Director of the Office Hissah Al-Aali described the workshop as an interactive participation aiming to coordinate efforts, build bridges of cooperation and identify best practices, procedures and controls governing the follow-up process of seconded students.
She added that the workshop also aimed to provide an opportunity for the exchange of views, ideas and experiences with the participants, present appropriate proposals to achieve an effective national system for the follow-up of seconded students. That is to be followed by the establishment of an effective partnership and ongoing work with various work sectors in the country which dispatch its employees or grant them leaves to obtain various degrees (diploma, bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. degrees) according to the disciplines required by these sectors, Al Aali said.
For its part, the working group, which presented the workshop that brought together a group of guidance and secondment officials, reviewed many subjects, including types of scholarships offered by the Education Institute, which included scholarships for outstanding Qatari students such as "Hamad bin Khalifa" and "Tamim bin Hamad" scholarships in Qatar such as the Academic Bridge Program, North Atlantic College Diploma, University of Calgary and the Education City universities such as Weill Cornell, A & M University of Texas, Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Arts, Carnegie Mellon University and Georgetown University (School of Foreign Service) University of Northwestern University, Faculty of Islamic Studies and French Postgraduate School.
