SCH Organizes Workshop on Hazardous Health Waste Management

Doha, March 26 (QNA) - The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) organizes tomorrow, Sunday, a special workshop on how to manage hazardous health waste with the participation of medical staff, medical assistance of health care institutions in the state.
The workshop includes illustrative lectures on the general concept of hazardous health-care waste and ways of its management as well as introducing decision No. (8) of 2006 regulating the management of hazardous wastes health care in the State's institutions issued by the Ministry of Environment and the proper management of medical waste.
Some working papers on the status of hazardous waste health of primary health care institutions will presented at the workshop by specialists from the Supreme Council of Health, the Ministry of Environment and Hamad Medical Corporation.
