Iraq participates in OIC meeting on Libya
Baghdad (NINA) – Iraq participated in the extra ordinary Conference of the Organization of Islamic Conference's Executive Committee to discuss developments in Libya.
A statement issued on Sunday, Mar. 27, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "Iraq's delegation to the meeting headed by Ambassador Mohammed al-Humaidi, which is to discuss developments in Libya, held in the OIC's Secretariat in Jeddah.
It added, "The Conference issued a statement welcoming the UN Security Council's Resolution No. 1973 for 2011 calling for imposing a no-fly zone over Libya aiming to protect civilians.
The Conference called on the OIC members to establish contacts with Libya's Temporary National Transitional Council. / End.
