Kim Jong Il Enjoys Performance Given by Artistes of Jagang Provincial Art Troupe

Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, enjoyed a performance given by the artistes of the Jagang Provincial Art Troupe.
Its repertoire included narration and choruses "We Live in the Embrace of the Leader" and "Glory to Our Great Party", female solo "Our Leader", female quartet and chorus "Jagang Province Is the One My Country Boasts of" and chorus "Footsteps".
Expressing great satisfaction over the fact that the artistes of the provincial art troupe gave a successful performance high in ideological value and artistry, he highly appreciated the success made in the performance and extended thanks to them.
It is the basic mission of the Juche-based arts to provide human beings with genuine idea, morality and culture needed for leading an independent life, he said, advancing important tasks for further developing arts meeting the need of the era of Songun. -0-
