Tasweeq Achieves 40% Qatarisation Of Its Workforce
Doha, April 11 (QNA) - Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company's (Tasweeq) mainstream workforce is 40% Qatari, the company said quoting a senior official.
The company is participating in the Qatar Career Fair 2011 that opened on April 10 and will close on April 14 at the Doha Exhibition Centre.
Tasweeq Executive Director-Administration Directorate Abdul Razak Al Meer said, "The Career Fair has simplified the process of meeting and recruiting qualified nationals for various positions within Tasweeq. We have successfully achieved the target of 40% nationals in the mainstream workforce, in line with the human resource development within the Qatar National Vision 2030."
Tasweeq's Chief Executive Officer Saad Al Kuwari said, "As an international organisation, we appreciate the contribution of our employees in the growth of Tasweeq by investing in our employees' wellbeing and development. Employees are offered training programmes based on their vision of an ascending career graph and in the best interest of the organisation and its stakeholders."
An exhibitor from the energy and industry sector as well as the gold sponsor of the Career Fair this year, Tasweeq views the Fair as an ideal platform for the company s personnel to meet prospective candidates who could be inducted into Tasweeq s workforce as per its requirements.
Tasweeq's Human Resources Director Sharoq Al Malki said, "Over the years, Tasweeq has focused and identified graduate developees and Interns with the right aptitude to work in the Energy sector. We aim to recruit and train a young workforce that can introduce fresh ideas into our business. The Career Fair provides a perfect congregation of candidates keen on beginning a promising career."
The company aims to train and develop deserving candidates into world-class employees with the right business acumen to market Qatar s oil and gas products internationally.
"We train and develop our young candidates by identifying their strengths and weaknesses. They also get the best exposure of a working in an international work environment with over 20 experienced nationalities," added Al Malki.
Tasweeq also inducts Graduate Developee and Interns with the right skills and education that are keen to actively participate in on-the-job training programmes.
