Presidency welcomes GCC efforts to address crisis in Yemen

SANA'A (Saba) - An official source at the Presidency Office has renewed welcome of efforts of the brotherly
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States to contribute to address the current crisis in Yemen.
"We have studied the statement of the meeting of the GCC countries' Foreign Ministers held in Riyadh on Sunday , April 10, and again Yemen's Presidency welcomes the efforts
of our brothers in the GCC countries to contribute to solve the current crisis in Yemen", the source told Saba.
He said that according to what has been repeatedly announced by President Ali Abdullah Saleh that he has not any reservation on a peaceful and smooth transfer of power under
the Constitution.
The source confirmed that Yemen will deal positively with this statement as a basis for dialogue ,so as to keep the country away from chaos, vandalism and instability.
In this respect, the source expressed Yemen's appreciation to the GCC countries for their serious keenness on unity, security and stability of Yemen and to remove the political
and security tension.
Yemen also appreciates efforts of the U.S. and the European Union and other brotherly and friendly countries for supporting those efforts, the source added.
