Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved two WB-funded projects
Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved two WB-funded projects with a combined capital of over 315 million USD.
The first project is designed to explore on coastal benefit for sustainable development in the 2011-2016 period. It has a total capital of 105 million USD, with 100 million USD as loan from the World Bank (WB) and the remaining 5 million USD as non-refundable aid from the Global Environmental Fund (GEF).
The second project has a total capital of over 210 million USD, focusing on the management of irrigation facilities for rural development in the Mekong Delta.
The WB will provide over 160 million USD in loan to the project and the rest will be contributed by agencies and localities participating in the project./
