AUGUST 30- INTERNATIONAL DAY OF DISAPPEARED

Baku, 30 AUGUST,(AzerTAj)The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) marks the International Day of the Disappeared on August 30. It is an annual commemoration day to draw attention to the fate of individuals imprisoned at places and under poor conditions unknown to their relatives and/or legal representatives.

There are approximately 4300 disappeared in Azerbaijan. Majority of them are persons missing in the wake of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
