Qatar Hosts Second Gulf Forum for the Deaf Tomorrow

Doha, April 19 (QNA) - Qatar national human rights committee (NHRC) is to organize in collaboration with Qatar cultural Center for the Deaf and Mute the second gulf forum for the GCC deaf institutions to be held tomorrow, Wednesday at the Ritz Carlton hotel.
The agenda of the two-day function to be held under the patronage of Minister Of Culture , Arts And Hertiage Minister He Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari includes several topics tackling the deaf adults and their hopes , services rendered to the deaf and the modern technology and the means of communication for the deaf.
The forum is aimed at revealing the ambiguity encircling the conditions of the deaf adults , education and employment , the International Convention on enabling people with disabilities.
It also aims at introducing reality of services rendered to the deaf in general and the deaf woman in the arab region in particular through the experiences of others and shedding light on the psychological , social and physical needs and the obstacles hindering the participation of the deaf adults in the development process.(QNA)
