Kim Jong Il Gives Field Guidance to Newly Built Foodstuff Factory

Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, gave field guidance to the newly built Susongchon General Foodstuff Factory in North Hamgyong Province.
Kim Jong Il went round various production processes including candy, biscuit, bread and wine shops to learn in detail about the technical equipment and production there.
It is the consistent policy maintained by the WPK in the building of light industry to develop light industry on the basis of natural resources and materials available in the country, he said, underscoring the need for the factory to pay primary attention to the work to actively tap and use the locally available raw materials in order to ensure stable production at it.
In order to keep the foodstuff in best quality at the factory, it should ensure the quality, purity and size of raw and other materials as required by science and technology and establish a strict regulation and order for thoroughly meeting the needs of technical rules and standard regulations of operation, he said.
