IJN & ICLIF IN PACT TO DEVELOP HEALTHCARE FRAMEWORK

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's National Heart Institute (IJN) College Tuesday entered into a partnership with the International Centre for Leadership in Finance (ICLIF) to develop a framework for leadership development in the national healthcare sector.

ICLIF executive director and chief executive officer David J.S. Winfield
said the cooperation between the two organisations signalled a major step
forward in the strengthening of leadership capabilities for the nation's
healthcare sector.

"With this pact, we are preparing the framework by which the country's
healthcare sector leaders will further enhance their skills to better manage
their organisations and people at a time when the healthcare services are under
tremendous pressure to deliver a high quality of care to all Malaysians
throughout the country," said Winfield after the signing of the three-year MoU
between the two institutions.

The pact was signed by the institute's general manager Dr Sharifah Salwiyah
Syed Salim and ICLIF director of corporate services, Khalidah Karim. It was
witnessed by Winfield.

The MoU outlined several aspects of cooperation such as collaboration on
the development and delivery of comprehensive and high quality courses in
leadership development for IJN College.
