HH the Emir Meets Spanish Official
Madrid, April 26 (QNA) - HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani met at the Senate building in Madrid this afternoon President of the Senate Council Javier Rojo, and the president of the Congress of Deputies Jose Bono.
At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Senate welcomed His Highness and the members of the official delegation, noting that the State of Qatar is an example of tremendous economic, political and social evolution in the Arab world.
He stressed that the visit reflected a turning point in the relations between the two countries, expressing willingness to contribute to all that could develop and strengthen these ties.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the bilateral relations and regional and international issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani and HE Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, and a number of Their Excellencies the members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.
Following the meeting, HH the Emir toured the Senate Library and listened to explanation about its history and its most important content of books and manuscripts. (QNA)
