Qatari Delegation Visits Libyan Injuries in Tunisian City of Sousse

Tunisia, May 02 (QNA) - Qatari delegation has paid an inspection visit to the Libyan wounded who transferred last Sunday by a Qatari ship from the city of Misrata to the city of Sousse in Tunisia.
The 137 wounded people, accompanied by a Libyan-Qatari medical team, were distributed according to their conditions to a number of health institutions in the city of Sousse.
Members of the delegation from the Qatari armed forces have visited these various institutions to inspect the condition of the wounded and their needs.
The wounded praised Qatar's position and solidarity toward their just cause, emphasizing that this position will remain firmly in the minds of the Libyan people.
In addition to the material assistance provided to the wounded, head of the delegation Brigadier General Nasser Mohammed Al-Kaabi said that under the generous patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, transport will be provided to the wounded after recovery to bring them back to the Libyan city of Benghazi as soon as possible.
Al-Kaabi also said that whose condition required a comprehensive care and treatment, the will be send to specialized health institutions to receive the treatment.
Qatar News Agency correspondent who accompanied the delegation to Tunisia said that the majority of the injuries were in the lower part of the body, making some of them unable to move.
In response to a question on Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's accusation that there are mercenaries in the rebel ranks, the injured said that the opposite is true, stressing that more than 25 percent of those fighting alongside Gaddafi are mercenaries from Eastern Europe and Africa.
