Sarkozy Meets Qatari PM

Paris, May 03 (QNA) -The French President Nicolas Sarkozy met on Tuesday at the Elysee Palace with HE the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabor al Thani who is visiting France.
Discussions at the meeting focused on relations between the two countries and ways of stepping them up in various fields, besides the latest developments in the Middle East and in Libya.(QNA)

HH the Emir, HH Sheikha Moza Attend Convocation Ceremony of Education City's Students

Doha, May 03 (QNA) - HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) attended this evening the convocation ceremony of the fourth batch of students from the Education City.
The ceremony was attended by a number of their excellency sheikhs, ministers, administrative and teaching staff of the education City as well as parents of the graduates.(QNA)
Jordan,Qatar Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Amman, May 03 (QNA)- Qatar and Jordan signed on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of labour in line with both countries' desire to promote closer ties of cooperation.
The memo was signed by HE Abdullah bin Nasser al-Hamidi, Minister of Social Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour and the Jordanian Minister of Labour Mahmoud al Kafaween.
According to the MOU the two parties will exchange information on the results of studies
and expertise in the labour sector , vocational training and safety and labour statistics.
The parties will develop and activate joint cooperation in the areas of labour in coordination between the competent authorities in both countries.
Al Hamidi sressed the importance of cooperation in various areas of labour and in promoting
the interests of the two countries in the light of instructions of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and HM King Abdullah II of Jordan. (QNA)
