Oil Minister, Indonesian Parliament Chairman discuss relations development

Baghdad (NINA) – Iraqi Minister of Oil, Abdul Kareeem Luaibi, discussed with Indonesian Parliament Chairman, Marzuqi Ali, and the accompanying delegation means of enhancing bilateral relations in energy fields.

A statement issued by the Minister’s office quoted him as saying “Iraq and through the contracting rounds receives all foreign expertise through legal mechanism.”

He added “the Indonesian companies can submit their papers to qualify, participate and compete with world companies on developing the 12 excavation sites that were announced on April 25th.”

Regarding the provision of oil, gas, and sulfur to Indonesia, Luaibi stated that the ministry is ready to provide Indonesia with the required amounts within the followed mechanism.

For his part, the Indonesian official said his country wishes building concrete ties with Iraq, conveying the Indonesian companies’ desire to strike cooperation deals with Iraq, especially that Indonesia needs the raw materials in its industries urgently.
