QIBF to Honour Chief of Emir Diwan



Doha , May 04 (QNA) - Qatar Businesswomen Forum announced here on Wednesday that Qatar 2nd International Businesswomen Forum (QIBF) will honour HE Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Development Planning Dr. Ibrahim Ibrahim for their efforts and achievements in Supporting Qatar's National Vision 2030.
The forum said in a press release issued on its website said that the forum, due to be held on May 17-18 under the auspices of HH Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, will honor a number of prominent figures who are distinguished and honorable at the regional level including member of the Lebanse Parliament Bahiya el Hariri and member of the Jordanian senate Suhair al-Ali.
According to Vice-President of Qatar Businesswomen Forum Ms.Aeisha al Farrdan , the Qatari Businesswomen Forum will also honour all who made a tangible change and remarkable trend in their respective societies foremost of them HE Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah bin Hamad al Attiyah who has remarkably contributed to developing the several sectors in the country especially in the oil and gas sectors which are of main pillars of the qatari economy.
Ms.Aeisha al Farrdan added that honouring those figures is a way of thanking them for their tangible and numerous contributions.
The forum will also deal with a number of economic and investment issues related to women's role in business and investment, particularly the role that businesswomen can play in facing challenges to global economy.
A large number of businesswomen from Qatar, Germany, the United Kingdom , Kurdistan and the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States (GCC) member states, Jordan and Lebanon will attend the forum with a view to exchanging ideas and knowledge in the field of business.
A number of businessmen and representatives of the governmental sector, the Social Affairs exprts and representatives of the civil society and non-governmental organizations from various countries will also attended the event in which over 600 participants from 20 countries are expected to partake .
