Assistant U.S. Secretary of State for Refugees visits Iraq soon
Baghdad (NINA) – American Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees and Migration, Eric Schwartz, starts a visit to Iraq soon in a tour including a number of countries in the region.
A statement issued by the American Embassy in Baghdad said Schwartz will meet in Geneva with United Nations officials and representatives of international organizations and civil society organizations to review the current and future humanitarian initiatives.
It added that Schwartz will, during his visit to Iraq, meet with government officials, United Nations officials, representatives of international organizations and non-governmental organizations to discuss the return of displaced Iraqis and their integration in the community, as well as providing support for displaced Iraqis and refugees in the region.
