Health Minister Opens Dialysis and Children Emergency Sections at Al-Khor Hospital
Doha, May 05 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Public Health and Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Health Abdullah bin Khalid Al Qahtani opened this morning Nasser bin Abdullah Al-Misned Dialysis Centre and Aisha Al-Misned Children Emergency Centre at Al-Khor Hospital.
HE the Minister and Director of Hamad Medical Corporation Dr. Hanan Al Kuwari toured the two new centres and were briefed by employees in charge on the services they deliver.
During his tour of Nasser bin Abdullah Al-Misned Dialysis Centre, HE the Minister was briefed on the modern dialysis machines in the Centre and the service provided by the Centre to Al-Shamal people. The new Centre is to serve a large segment of the population of the north to relieve them from the hardship of coming to Doha for dialysis.
HE Al-Qahtani was also briefed on the facilities of Aisha Al-Misned Children Emergency Centre and the health and medical services it provides to children.
Assistant Executive Director of Al-Khor Hospital Salem Abdullah Al-Shahwani underlined in a statement he gave on the occasion that the two centers are new additions to the hospital and will service a large segment of the population of the north.
He noted that this step led to the increase in the number of beds at the Children Emergency Section and the Dialysis Centre in addition to the capacity and advanced quality of the services to be delivered, explaining that the two centers will serve the State in general with a bigger focus on the northern areas.
