QAAF Chief Lauds IAAF Diamond League Success
Doha, May 07 (QNA) - President of Qatar Amateur Athletics Federation (QAAF) Abdullah Al-Zaini has lauded the high technical level of IAAF Samsung Diamond League 2011 held at Qatar Sports Club on Friday.
"The Doha Meeting was distinctive where elite leading names from the top world athletes have recorded new records in different events during the championship" Qatar Olympic Committee quoted today Al-Zaini as saying.
Regarding the results of Qatari athletes in the prestigious event, Al-Zaini expressed his satisfaction over their performance, where Qatar s Femi Ogunode claimed Silver in men s 200 m and Qatar s Mutaz Barsham took bronze in men s High Jump.
He conveyed thanks to all working committees members in recognition of their professional efforts that gave the event splendid success.
