Ministry of Environment Honors Three Inspectors

Doha, May 07 (QNA) - The Ministry of Environment has honoured three of its inspectors from the Ministry's marine environment protection department who managed to rescue the boat of three Asian fishermen from sinking at Fisht Al-Hareef in Wakra while they (the inspectors) were sailing in a routine patrol from Wakra harbour last Wednesday.
The honouring was made upon directives by HE the Minister of Environment Abdullah bin Mubarak bin Iboud Al-Maadhadi , who praised the efforts made by the inspectors to save the lives of the three fishermen.
For his part, Director of the Ministry's Environment Department Abdullah Nasser Al Nuaimi hailed the efforts made by by the inspectors noting that the initiatives which they have always been making made the marine environment cleaner, praising as well the efforts the are making to raise beach goers awareness of the importance of preserving the marine environment.
He also commended the help provided by memebers of police, coastal guards, ambulance and civil defense to assist in the rescue of the fishermen.(
